A Red Sea retreat where courtyard, shade, and layered thresholds mediate between privacy, climate, and the open sea.

Challenge
How can a compact coastal house balance privacy and climatic protection with openness to the Red Sea?
Solution
A courtyard-centred house that transitions from a protected, inward-facing street edge to increasingly open and permeable spaces toward the sea—using shaded thresholds, screened façades, vegetation, and passive cooling to create a calm environment shaped by Jeddah’s coastal climate.
